Junior Software & Odoo Developer

The Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Software & Odoo Developer to join our technical team. Working closely with senior developers, Odoo functional consultants, project managers, and UI/UX designers, you will participate in the end-to-end development, customization, implementation, and support of Odoo ERP and other software solutions.

This is a hands-on position offering excellent exposure to real-world Odoo implementation projects, custom module development, API integrations, and business automation. (Note: Candidates without Odoo experience may be considered if they demonstrate exceptionally strong Python/software development skills and a genuine interest in learning Odoo).

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Odoo Development: Customize and maintain Odoo modules (Community and Enterprise) across core apps including Sales, CRM, Inventory, Accounting, HR, Manufacturing, and POS. Create and modify models, XML/QWeb views, reports, and workflows.
• Software & Web Development: Build and maintain responsive business applications and websites using modern web technologies. Convert functional requirements into clean, scalable, and reusable code.
• API & Integrations: Develop and consume REST APIs to seamlessly connect Odoo with payment gateways, SMS/WhatsApp platforms, POS systems, and third-party business applications.
• SEO & Website Optimization: Implement basic technical SEO (meta tags, heading structures, sitemaps) and support website performance optimizations, utilizing tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform unit, functional, and regression testing. Troubleshoot technical errors, reproduce bugs, and support UAT and go-live activities.
• Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain technical documentation for custom modules and APIs. Utilize Git for version control and collaborate effectively within a structured project environment.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years of general software development experience (Minimum 1 year required).
• Odoo Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on Odoo development is strongly preferred.
• Languages: English (Required); Arabic (Preferred).
• Location: Must be currently located in Dubai, UAE, and available to work on-site.

Technical Skills Requirements

Core Technologies (Required):

• Python & PostgreSQL
• Odoo Framework (ORM, MVC architecture, Models, Fields, Automated Actions)
• XML & QWeb
• HTML, CSS, & JavaScript
• REST APIs
• Git / Version Control
• Basic Linux / Server knowledge

Bonus & Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience working with an Odoo Partner.
• Odoo Certification.
• Experience with Odoo.sh, Docker, Nginx, and cloud hosting/deployment.
• Familiarity with eCommerce/POS systems and basic accounting workflows.
• Experience with WhatsApp Cloud API, payment gateways, and AI/automation integrations.
